James Davis, Senior Wine, Spirits and Coffee Buyer at Greene King

Jame’s current role as Senior Wine, Spirits and Coffee Buyer for Greene King sees him head up wine buying, for the entire Greene King group, a brewer and retailer with over 2000 restaurants, pubs and bars around the UK. They also export their beers, such as IPA and Old Speckled Hen throughout the world

Prior to Greene King, James worked for Tesco and Costco in different buying roles and is at the dissertation level of the Master of Wine qualification. His focus has historically been on analysing the role of large wine brands as a purchasing cue for consumers and the impacts of the supply chain and retailing of wine on the consumer offer.

James is a panellist at the ‘UK – Re-booting a mature market’ business session.
