Hendrik Thoma, Master Sommelier and host of the video blog www.weinamlimit.de.

Despite initially training as a chef, Hendrik Thoma is one of only two Master Sommeliers in Germany. He has worked in a number of distinguished establishments throughout Europe including Landhaus Scherrer in Hamburg and Johannish winery in the Rheingau. In 1994 he was Head Sommelier at the Hotel Intercontinental in Leipzig. A year later he moved to the five-star Hotel Louis C. Jacob, where he worked with chef Thomas Martin.

Hendrik has appeared in television programs and since 2009 and has also has been a columnist and continues to write for The Gourmet. Hendrik now consults in the food and wine industry and launched his own independent video wine blog www.weinamlimit.de in 2012.

Hendrick is a panellist at the ‘Excuse me waiter, where is the Australian section please?’ business session.
