During his time at Lake House, the establishment received numerous accolades including Gourmet Traveller Wine’s “Best Regional Wine List” in 2012.
Developing a passion for wine in his early 20’s, Thomas worked at Langton’s Restaurant & Bar and several other high profile Victorian based establishments before becoming Head Sommelier at the multi award winning Lake House Daylesford. During his time at Lake House, the establishment received numerous accolades including: Gourmet Traveller Wine “Best Country Wine List 2011”; Gourmet Traveller Wine “Shortlisted, Best Australian Wine List”; The Age Good Food Guide, “Best Regional Wine List”; and Gourmet Traveller Wine’s “Best Regional Wine List” in 2012. He is currently the manager and buyer for Frankie & Harry Wine Bar in Melbourne.
Thomas holds a Diploma from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust and is an Advanced Sommelier in the Court of Master Sommeliers. He was the Dux of the Victorian Certified Court of Master Sommelier Examinations, and has successfully completed his Advanced Accreditation in 2011. Noted as a future leader in the wine industry, he was accepted into the exclusive Len Evans Tutorial where he was awarded “Runner-Up to Dux” of the 2012 Tutorial.
