Seppelt Drumborg Riesling
During 150 years of winemaking, Seppelt has built a reputation of innovation and dedication to quality. The Seppelt approach is to harness the strength and characteristics of each region and create varietally and regionally expressive wines. Seppelt planted its Drumborg Vineyard in South-West Victoria in 1964 to grow premium quality, cool-climate fruit. A vineyard that experiences challenging weather which keeps yields low and fruit concentration and natural acidity high.
The wine has lifted floral notes with fresh lime and lemon curd nuances. A fine layer of chalky minerality shows its Drumborg heritage. The palate displays intense lime characters, typical of the vineyard, complemented by lemon curd notes. The citrus flavours combine with talc like, textural acidity to create a wine of precision and finesse. The long, seamless and persistent palate creates a wine of outstanding depth of flavour that will develop gracefully over years to come.
